Job Specification:
As a Full Stack PHP Developer at DevExcel, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our web applications. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development tasks, including WordPress customization (themes and plugins) and Laravel development. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, database management, and the ability to write professional and clean code. Effective communication skills are essential as you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement web applications using PHP, WordPress, and Laravel.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Develop and maintain Laravel-based web applications.
- Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of web applications.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and issues in a timely manner.
- Perform database design, optimization, and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements and provide project updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience of minimum 1 year or 1.5 years as a Full Stack PHP Developer.
Skills To Have:
- Strong expertise in WordPress customization, including themes and plugins.
- Proficiency in Laravel framework.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (Vue.js, React, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Experience with other PHP frameworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a bonus.
- Previous experience with RESTful API development.
- Certification in PHP or relevant technologies is a plus.
