Workforce Management — Shift Scheduling Platform

Problem

Managing rotational shift patterns across multiple sites frequently leads to roster gaps. Staffing teams typically can't see site-level coverage, deficits, or fulfillment percentages in real time, inflexible schedule builders make swaps and emergency coverage difficult, and billing becomes complex across multi-site deployments.

Workforce Management — Shift Scheduling Platform, solution

Our Solution

DevExcel built a multi-tenant platform letting Super Admins manage client companies, sites, roles, and shift schedules. A drag-and-drop visual calendar in weekly and monthly views lets schedulers fill open positions fast, a deficit and coverage analytics engine tracks coverage in real time, and automated billing charges accounts by assignment and tier.

Developed Features

Workforce Management — Shift Scheduling Platform, developed features
  • Multi-tenant hierarchy for managing client companies and sites
  • Drag-and-drop visual calendar with weekly and monthly views
  • Real-time deficit and coverage analytics engine
  • Automated monthly subscription billing by worker assignment and tier
  • Role and shift requirement configuration by site

What This Engagement Produced

  • Rotational shift schedules across multiple sites are built in one visual calendar instead of per-site spreadsheets.

    Delivered scope

  • Coverage and deficit are tracked as the schedule is built, so gaps surface before the shift rather than during it.

    Delivered scope

  • Billing is generated from the assignments themselves, by tier, rather than re-entered after the fact.

    Delivered scope

“Delivered scope” describes what was built and shipped, taken from our own build record. It is not a measured client result, and we do not publish it as one. Where a client has documented and confirmed a figure, it appears above as a verified result with the number attached.
